JSON-LD
JSON-LD is a JSON-based serialization format for Linked Data, commonly used to embed Schema.org structured data in web pages. It is the recommended format for SEO and GEO schema.
What it is
JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data) embeds structured data in a script tag in the HTML head, separating the data layer from the visual content. It is preferred over inline microdata because it is easier to maintain and renders cleanly in CMS templates. Google, Bing, and AI engines all prefer JSON-LD. Common JSON-LD types for B2B SaaS: Organization, WebSite, Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Service, Offer, Product, Person.
Why it matters for GEO
Without JSON-LD, schema is harder to maintain and easier to break. JSON-LD is the standard — use it.
